Health insurance is a difficult industry for the consumer. Not only has it become cost prohibitive for many, but often many programs are not even made available to small business owners. In addition, finding representatives willing to discuss the limed options offered to smaller companies is challenging.
The programs offered to veterinarians through the AVMA AHP have addressed these challenges and offered viable solutions. As the owner of a small veterinary hospital, I am now able to offer several different health insurance options through the AVMA AHP to my staff. In addition, comparatively speaking, many of these options are affordable as well. The quality of coverage is excellent.
My insurance representative, Liz M., is amazing and deserves to be mentioned. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Liz for well over 1 year. She consistently responds to inquires promptly. She reaches out to me well in advance of any upcoming deadlines so that I am prepared to make decisions prior to the deadline. I find Liz to be very well organized. “I am the practice manager for a rural mixed animal practice in Northeastern Montana. Our practice found itself in the position where our current group health insurance would no longer meet our growing needs.
